Dear Friends,

I would like to share with you that The Center of European and Russian Studies (CERS) at UCLA is hosting a book presentation of my recent scholarly monograph, Talking Trash. Cultural Uses of Waste (Vanderbilt University Press, 2019): I would feel very honored if you could attend.

The presentation will take place remotely on Thursday May 28, 2020, from 2 to 3.30 pm, Pacific Time (PT). Professors Charlene Villaseñor-Black (Art History; Chicana Studies, UCLA) and Allison Carruth (English, Institute of the Environment and Sustainability, UCLA) have generously agreed to be the discussants of my book.

I am honored that Talking Trash. Cultural Uses of Waste, has been awarded the«2020 Norman L. and Roselea J. Goldberg Prize from Vanderbilt University Press for the best book in the area of art or medicine.»
